The lives of the Greeks had become miserable and fearful because of the war-situation. There had been struggle for power to establish supremacy by the intellectual individuals (Clarysse, 2019). There had been separation of the public lives of the Greeks from the private lives of the Greeks (Clarysse, 2019). There had not been any sense of duty shown towards the city/state. There had only been the selfish motive of serving the personal and selfish interests of the individuals living in the Hellenistic City. There had been more concentration of the Greeks towards living peaceful and satisfied domestic lives rather than patriotic and social lives (Clarysse, 2019).
